2003 becomes worst year on record for digital attacks

London, UK - 26 May 2003, 17:00 GMT - The world record for verified overt digital attacks in one year - as opposed to attempts, scans and stealth activity - against government, corporate and private online servers, was breached on Sunday, 25th May. The new record stands at 87,903 overt attacks as opposed to 87,525 for the whole of 2002.
